I have been in the full time vocational ministry since 1993.  I started out in Nashville, TN where I

was working as a producer and a musician but volunteering as a Youth Worker and Worship Leader

at Christ’s Church in Nashville, TN.  My wife, Kim and I then moved to Green Bay, WI for my first

full-time Youth Pastor’s job.  I was licensed with the Assemblies of God and then later moved to

Grand Junction, CO where I was the Student Ministries Pastor and Worship Director at the Fellowship Church. 

I was ordained at Fellowship Church and did nearly ten years of ministry in Grand Junction.  

In 2003, we moved to the front range of Colorado and I traveled as a Youth Evangelist and Itinerant Worship Leader.  After attending a church growth conference at New Life Church in Colorado Springs, I met Pastor Chris Hodges at Church of the Highlands in Birmingham, AL.  With Chris, we entered into a 3-month church planters training program.

In January of 2007, my wife Kim and I PLANTED Summit Church of Castle Rock.  We had the help of the ARC (The Association of Related Churches, Birmingham, AL) and a passionate launch team of volunteers.  

Our first location was the Old True Value Hardware Store downtown in Castle Rock, CO.  We pastored our fledgling church downtown for about a year and then had to become a “mobile church” in March of 2008.  We moved Summit Church to Castle View High School for many years until the global pandemic of 2020.  During “COVID” it came to our attention that a little country church just 8 miles north of our location had been empty for over 10 years.  The owners were friends of mine and we entered into a partnership to rent the “country church” and moved our ministry operations to Sedalia, Colorado.  

During the years of Pastoring Summit Church I completed my Masters in Church Business Administration and My Doctorate through distance learning at West Coast Seminary (Cape Town, South Africa & Dallas, Texas). I continue to write music, write blogs and books plus officiate weddings and funerals.  Being the Pastor of Summit Church is one of the greatest joys of my life.
